How to Stop Time by Matt Haig

This book had a lot of potential. I think the synopsis is misleading, the modern-day romance aspect of the plot played a very small role in the overall narrative. In fact, there were very few modern-day parts, which made it hard to root myself in the plot. The daughter plot was so sidetracked and didn't come to fruition in a meaningful way. The main character is loveable and witty. This book would have flowed much better if the chapters and timeline were reorganized.
