H orror is so much better in books than on screen. i was a little bored at first because it is initially very similar to the show “from” so the idea wasn’t new to me, but the middle to end really surprised me and im mad i didn’t know their would be a sequel before i began otherwise i would have waited to read it. also the writing style is great and the audiobook narrator is on point

The guardian's heir leave the Grey Tower to tell the Black tower that doom is coming. Then a girl eaves the grey tower to ask the balk tower to restore summer. The landscapes they separately travel through and the people they meet are bizarre and phantasmagoric - these changes are wonderfully weird and creative to read.

As one of Stephen King's first attempts at a crime/mystery/thriller genre book, I would say that King's style speaks for itself. I am a thriller genre enthusiast and think that Mr. Mercedes was a great read. This book kept me guessing until the end - and I was on my toes trying to get to the bottom of the mystery element. I think that the plot reveals happen very late in the book, so the ending chapters are a little fast-paced for the precedent set by the novel prior. But all, in all, this was a fun murder mystery!

Quite interesting tale about a young girl who grows up in her father's book store. When she becomes a woman, a famous author requests her to write her biography. Thus the tale evolves and brings the reader along for a fabulous ride. This is the second time I have read this book and recommend it to all !!!
