12 Months to Live by James Patterson and Mike Lupica

A top notch criminal defense attorney is diagnosed with cancer just as she begins the trial of her career. There were many great twists in the story, and with the setting on Eastern Long Island, some names, locations, etc. were familiar to me. This book is a fairly quick read, and a page turner.

Saving Emma by Allen Eskens

First book in a "long time" that had me crying at the end! It's an easy read with characters well defined and easy to like. the story line was different compared to many lawyer books. He reminded me of a young John Grisham!

The Boys from Biloxi by John Grisham

Typical Grisham plot. It seemed to drag until the last third of the book.

A Young Lawyer's Story by John Ellsworth

A brand new recent law school graduate is offered a job by the U.S. Attorney's office, too good to be true, but also very mysterious. He is hired to spy on his boss who they think is selling government secrets. But is he really or is he being set up? Thaddeus Murfee must decide before he is sucked in too far himself and figure out which side he is on. A real good lawyers vs. bad lawyers story!
