Huntington Public Library Adult Reading Challenge

The fantasy world here is so interesting and I found the characters well written. I liked the magical system, though I wasn't quite as taken with the execution of the monster inside Elspeth's head. I understood what the author was doing, but I found him more creepy in a predator way than scary in a monster way, if that makes sense. Still, I thought the story was very entertaining and I really enjoyed the overarching reading experience!  

  Will Trent is back for more. Home invasion? Kidnapping? Murder? What exactly happened in this house. Will Trent and his new partner will crack the case.

Romance with serial killers, cannibalism, and trigger warnings galore...yet surprisingly and refreshingly tame... Relatively.

  Excellent read. Great main character. I can't wait to read the next one in his series. Great Author.

  An exhilarating read from cover to cover - simply could not put it down (except to eat, sleep, and go to work). Starting from the heist gone wrong to the discovery of additional "treasure" to the ultimate showdown, this book was filled with such action and excitement that it felt like you were watching an action movie - who would survive till the end was a huge mystery! At the same time, the reader was introduced into underbelly of the jewelry cartels, money forgery, the Triad gang, and much much more. Highly Recommend! Starting on another book by the same author now called 'Ghost Man'.
