This Summer Will be Different by Carley Fortune

Easy beach read, simplistic plot, geared to a younger audience.

Flowers for Sara by Davina Kotulski

The hero has been trying to write her opus while surviving in dead-end jobs as a barrista. In a series of strange mis-haps, she ends up in Venice trying to write her novel. Along the way, she meets a Venetian docent or ghost of history and architecture with much information about the Jewish ghetto.

The Mothers by Brit Bennett

This book really surprised me. I wasn't sure I would like the characters as much as I did, but I really connected with them. Their flaws felt real and the characters were therefore relatable. Some of the jumps in time were a bit inconsistent, but this was overall a gripping read.
