Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold by C. S. Lewis

A beautiful re-telling of Cupid and Psyche from the older sister's point of view. The book gives the reader a lot to think about and touches on the meaning of religion, love, and family.

Dream Angus: The Celtic God of Dreams by Alexander McCall-Smith

This was a quick fun book about the Celtic God, Angus. Having known nothing about Celtic mythology, I enjoyed this book because mythology of all cultures is fascinating to me. McCall, with his usual wit and charm, combined the myth story of Angus with modern small vignettes to good effect. This allows for the book to feel like a complete novella and also a collection of short stories all at once. Very enjoyable and quick read.

Galatea: A Short Story by Madeline Miller

A woman recounts her previous existence as a statue and her life after becoming human while hoping to escape from her husband.
