 The protagonist, Jack, is quite the character. I have read many of this author's books and he never lets me down. Pick up any of this books and you'll be hooked.

  Christmas at the Nantucket Restaurant is a "feel good" story about three sisters (and Paul Taylor, their chef), who inherit "Mimi's Place" from their grandmother who stipulated that they run it together for one year before deciding what to do with it. Mandy, Emma and Jill with Paul, Emma's old flame and Bill, Jill's husband all found themselves appropriate jobs running Mimi's Place over Christmas. The holiday traditions on Nantucket, the good deeds for, by and with their patrons and neighbors, and the delicious menus mentioned made for a prosperous Mimi's Place and a festive, enjoyable, fun Christmas read!
