The Four Vision Quests of Jesus by Steven Charleston

 An excellent and thought provoking book by a citizen of the Chocktaw nation of Oklahoma who is also an episcopal priest and bishop. Charleston weaves together his indigenous beliefs with Christianity. There are also many succinct historical and cultural lessons about the horrors inflicted on the indigenous people throughout history.
